Clifton’s Lightbox added to WordPress Directory

Clifton's Lightbox for WordPressAfter a few years of distributing Clifton’s Lightbox Plugin via email, I decided to reach the masses and upload my plugin to the WordPress Plugin Directory. Also, I decided to drop the “Plugin” at the end of the name as it seems redundant having Clifton’s Lightbox Plugin within a Plugin Directory. I’m hoping to reach over 100 downloads in its first 24 hours in the repository.

Recent Changes

Before uploading the plugin to the WordPress Plugin Directory, I made some changes and notched the version to 2.3.

  1. Added the option to hide the already discreet link in the lightbox footer.
  2. I removed the support Talk Fusion videos.
  3. I removed the update script that used my servers as a resource for updating the plugin.

Installation

You now have two ways of installing Clifton’s Lightbox.

  1. You can either download the zip file and upload it to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  2. Or you can search for it from your WordPress Dashboard > Plugins > Add New. Keywords: Clifton’s Lightbox

I’m excited about this move and I hope that the plugin will serve many well.

Hey Clifton,

Neat plugin, however, like a couple of others I'm having trouble getting it to appear when going live. Is it compatible with Thesis?

@Melanie - RD First, make sure the cookie isn't already set. If the cookie is set, the lightbox will not open. This is by design. You can delete the cookie from the plugin's settings page. Thanks

Yes, in theory, the plugin should work with any properly formatted code from an email marketing service. I simply use Aweber and GetResponse as examples. Thanks!
