My Four Secrets To Killer Blog Posts : Part 1

 by Clifton Hatfield

How to find new blog topic ideas

New blog post ideas are a difficult thing for nearly every blogger. Constantly trying to think of new ideas and topics right off the top of your head can often be nearly impossible. I’ve found some fantastic and inspirational  resources to help get my brain spawning great blog topics. In this 4 part series of Blog Post Ideas there are tools and tips on how to consistently brainstorm new topics to blog about.

Yahoo Answers LogoYahoo! Answers

Yahoo! Answers is a wonderful tool for discovering blog topics. People are constantly wanting to know the answer to their questions and more importantly turning to the web to find them. Some of my most popular blog posts are those that supply a visitor with an answer to a question they have searched the internet to find.

To go http://answers.yahoo.com/ to find blogging ideas and start with a simple search for your target topics. Then you will refine your search by using the filter options. For example, select the Question Status as Resolved Question to view questions that have been marked as resolved/solved.

If I search for the topic of ‘Internet Marketing’ and see the question, “What are the best internet marketing books?”, I may write a blog post about some of the internet marketing books I have read and review each of them individually. Without using Yahoo! Answers, I may have never thought of writing a blog post of book reviews on Internet Marketing.

Yeah Yahoo! Answers can give you great ideas on what questions people are asking about within your niche and you can blog the answer and drive traffic to the solution you offer! Thanks Tina

Hi Clifton! Lack of content had me banging my head against a wall for 6 months trying to build my blog. Finally came to me self and got some help. I live in Yahoo Answers but never would have thought to repurpose that content. I get lots of news from Yahoo as well. I have no problem writing, just having something to write about. Thanks for your ingenuity. Since I read Yahoo Answers everyday, I now have something to blog about.

    Thanks for your help!
    Yours,

Thanks coming commenting Jae! I used to read Yahoo! Answers often and not even realize the real value there in helping me with my blog and deliver my answers. Often the question will be closed on Yahoo! Answers but I feel that I can offer a more complete answer so I may shoot a video or write a tutorial to help others that are asking the same question. :)
