New for WordPress 3.0 – Menu Management

I’ve been test driving WordPress v3.0 beta while checking out some of the newest features. One of my favorite features in the built in Menu management. This is every internet marketers dream come true. Finally a simple way to exclude, include, page and categories into a single navigation bar. I made a SNEAK PEEK video for you to check out.

NOTE: Not all themes will support this new Menu Management feature. If you have purchased an Empowered Blog, your blog will have support.

CORRECTION: BETA 2 DOES NOT SUPPORT PAGE ORDER YET BUT I BELIEVE IT WILL UPON RELEASE OF V3.0 STABLE.

    That’s a great little preview video. Unfortunately I think this is going to be a confusing feature for some people, when it first launches, because like many things, not all themes support it. Majority of themes will need an update to support this and that will hopefully happen on the tail of 3.0 going stable.

      Hey Kim, you may be right but I don’t think many people will be confused. Thou shalt not under estimate Automattic. If a blogger’s theme is not compatible, it will display a warning message on the Appearance > Menus page letting them know that their theme is not compatible. But like I said, since I have already been test running WordPress version 3.0, Empowered Blogs will be compatible and offer full support for this new feature. Rock on!

      I can’t even tell you how excited I am about it. Then again, I always get really excited when WordPress releases a new version. It’s silly actually but I love it.
