SEO For Blog Images

Using an image within your blog post can be a great way to add more of a visual aid or simulate your articles. Not only do images enhance a post visually but they can really help with your SEO (search engine optimization) to get your blog on the first page of Google. When uploading a photo to your WordPress blog, make sure to always title your photo with brief keywords. The title will appear as a tooltip when your visitor hovers their mouse over the image. 1. Log into your Dashboard.
  2. Click the down arrow that appears next to the Settings tab in the left sidebar when you hover your mouse over it.
  3. Click the Writing sublink beneath the Settings tab.
  4. Change the Size of post box from the default setting of 10 to 30 (any number of your preference).

WordPress Biography

Wordpress BiographyHow to set up a WordPress Biography

Many people who have a WordPress blog, already have a complete page dedicated to who they are and it is usually titled About or About me, check out mine, Who am I?. However, there should be a brief excerpt about the blogger near the bottom of each blog post. Why? Because you are building your brand and you want people to see that you are the author of the article and you want them to learn about who YOU are and what you are about. If they want to learn more about you, they will visit your About me page. Another great reason for the bio at the bottom of each post is because you may decide to have a guest author blog with you. This lets your readers know more about the guest author. (Note: Having guest authors is a great way to mix things up on your blog)
