YouTube IconAnother great opportunity to gain exposure, and get links and traffic to your blog, is through the use of online videos. While there are financial and time commitments to creating and editing videos, getting viral can help get your blog to the tipping point far faster than any other online channel. YouTube is by far the king of video sites, but there are hundreds  of others including Vimeo, Viddler,  Blip.tv, 5min, DailyMotion, and MetaCafe. Are you distributing your videos to these outlets as well? Are you monitoring your videos’ success or failure and watching the performance of others in these channels to see what’s getting noticed or ignored? If not, you should be. The days of ‘fish marketing’ are over. Watch you campaigns to see which are working and which aren’t. I recently purchased “The Flip” ultra series camcorder on Amazon because I was in need to make quick videos on the go and could not carry a large camcorder in my pockets.

I purchased my Flip camera on Amazon because I was able to receive a free shipping offer and with Amazon, I always receive my purchases within days, even a lot faster than their estimation delivery. They were also running a good offer, so I saved a few bucks.

The Flip digital video camera is probably one of the best purchase I have made in a long time. It’s a digital camcorder which can hold up to 60mn of videos, which translates of 1 GB in internal memory. Continue Reading
